Fans of the early 1970’s classic TV show “The Brady Bunch”  remember that phrase well.  Marcia Brady, played by actress Maureen McCormick, was the sister who had it all. Middle sister Jan was jealous of her and youngest sister Cindy wanted to be grown up like her. So whatever happened to TV’s teen dreamgirl?

Although she continued acting (including a run on the campy soap, “Passions” in 2000) and also recorded a country music CD, McCormick  had her own personal struggles after her stint as a female teen idol. She publicly announced that she suffered from bulimia as a teen and was addicted to cocaine.  She also appeared on VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club” in 2007, determined to shed excess weight she had gained at the age of 50 years old. Shortly after that, Maureen appeared on “The Dr. Phil Show”  to discuss her estrangement from her father and brother, including a recorded ambush.

Maureen still has large fan following. She lives in California with her husband and daughter, Natalie.  She recently penned a tell-all book called “ Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice” , which will be published in October, 2008.
