Diamonds, Daisies, Snowflakes,
That Girl
Chestnuts, Rainbows, Springtime…
Is That Girl
She’s tinsel on a tree…
She’s everything that every girl should be!
Sable, Popcorn, White Wine,
That Girl
Gingham, Bluebirds, Broadway…
Is That Girl
She’s mine alone, but luckily for you…
If you find a girl to love,
Only one girl to love,
Then she’ll be That Girl too…
That Girl!

Oh, when these lyrics would cue up in the early 1970’s, the classic sitcom That Girl was already in syndication. I was a kid at the time but I loved Marlo Thomas as Ann Marie, aka That Girl. She was adorably cute and adorably in love with Donald (played by Ted Bessel).

Ann Marie was an actress trying to make it big in the Big Apple. It was a story of an independent woman- although her Daddy was around an awful lot. But I loved the show and the silly storylines and the opening credits- oh that part was the best! If you can find the That Girl theme on Youtube you are surely in for a treat!
