Every year since 1965, this Christmas classic has delighted millions of adults and children all over the world. Not just another fluffy Christmas special”, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” gets to the root of what Christmas is really about.

Charlie Brown tells his friends that he gets depressed around Christmas time. He can’t stand all the commercialism. Even his trusty dog, Snoopy ,has gotten caught up in it as he elaborately decorates his doghouse for a contest.

Charlie Brown decides to boost his spirits by directing the gang’s Christmas play. But the kids in the play aren’t  cooperative, so Charlie Brown leaves to go and buy a Christmas tree for the s et. The skimpy tree that he picks out causes the other kids to make fun of him. But in the end, the “Charlie Brown tree” inspires the group to realize the true meaning of Christmas.

This is one of the rare Christmas specials that touches on the the birth of Christ, with Linus even reciting parts of  the Gospel of St. Luke.

Merry Christmas!
